CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap is a documentary discussing the influence of women and minorities in technology. CODE also asks what should we do to get more women to study programming.

If there's one job that can be seen as truly transformative at the present time and into the foreseeable future, it's software development. Societies all over the world are engaged in the act of creating a future out of software. Who is the future for? The people engaged in building the future should reflect the people who are going to be occupying said future. Sadly this is not the case and the gender makeup of programmers is massively skewed to young men.

Something must be done to correct this and soon. Technology and the future belong to all mankind.

Join us for a screening of an award-winning documentary dealing with ways in which we can debug the world we are building.

You are invited to cosy neighbourhood cinema Il Kino in Neukölln for the screening, starting at 20:00.

There will also be a hosted discussion in the bar afterwards for sharing your thoughts about the film.

Entry is free, but space is extremely limited so first come first served!
